We’ll dive deep into the symbolism of each of the four astrological elements and how they distinctly color the expression of the Moon in natal charts. We’ll also explore the way in which lunar phases modulate the expression of the Moon within each element, depending on if the Moon is in a waxing, full, or waning phase.”

Description: “Planets occupying the zodiacal sign opposite their domicile (ex Venus in Scorpio) are as far away from their home sign as possible within the zodiac, a condition that became known as being in “detriment.” Full of tension and creative potential, planets occupying their opposite sign take on an inverted quality that can bring feelings of alienation yet also bring about the emergence of new ideas from counter-cultural perspectives. We’ll explore the complexity and nuances of these placements in natal charts.”

This is a second talk I gave about the meaning of Saturn in Pisces as well as the Saturn and Neptune cycle for the Washington State Astrologers Association on 9 February 2023. I previously gave a talk on the same subject in November 2022 for NCGR in Philadelphia that is also for sale below. This is a renovated talk that includes new ideas and examples not shared in the previous talk with information in the previous version deleted to make space for the new information. This talk was presented live to an audience in Seattle, WA while simulcast over zoom. Marking the end of the Saturn and Neptune cycle that began in 1989, Saturn will spend an extended period of time in close proximity with Neptune in Pisces before eventually forming an exact conjunction with Neptune in the first degree of Aries on February 20, 2026. This talk explores the meaning of Saturn transiting Pisces as well as Saturn’s cyclical relationship with Neptune that has correlated with dissolution of old orders and the emergence of idealistic movements. We discuss the potential of Saturn sailing through the oceanic expanse of Pisces and what we may discover washed up on shore from its tides.

The Greek term for a planet being in its fall has been translated as a low lying place, like being brought down into a depression in the ground. Planets in fall have also been associated with states of depression and depressing circumstances, in contrast to the ideal heights associated with planets in exaltation. We will explore the essential balance between planets in fall and exaltation, what it means to be born with a planet in fall in your natal chart, and imagine together how to work with the descent into depths we can experience with a planet in fall. Video recording of webinar on the meaning of Jupiter’s transit through the dark forests of Capricorn from 2 December 2019 through 19 December 2020 (3 hours in length). As there has been a collective panic around the alignment of Saturn and Pluto in January 2020, we will draw meaning from Pan, the divine source of panic and a deity rooted in the living image of Capricorn. In a previous turning of the ages, Pan caused panic to aid the victory of the Olympians and formed the Capricorn constellation through fluidly escaping the onslaught of the Typhon. 2020 brings another turning of the ages and fears of other monstrosities we must face, as Jupiter comes to the end of its cycle with Saturn while being in the home of Saturn. Pan as well as other images of Capricorn will help guide us to discover the meaning of Jupiter being in its fall in Capricorn, as well as Jupiter forming three conjunctions with Pluto, a trine with Uranus, a sextile with Neptune, and a square with Mars retrograde in Aries during the year ahead. We will consider ways we can work effectively with Jupiter in Capricorn as well as its pitfalls we need to be aware of.
