Bob Dylan and the Jupiter Saturn Cycle: the Astrology of “A Complete Unknown”
I’m sharing here a new video I made about Bob Dylan, the film about his life called A Complete Unknown, and their connections to not only the Jupiter and Saturn cycle but the exact phase of the cycle, in the exact same signs, that we are living through right now.
The Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown was released at the same time as the recent waxing square between Jupiter in Gemini and Saturn in Pisces and holds a lot of symbolism related to the importance of the Jupiter and Saturn cycle in the astrology of 2025.
Bob Dylan was born a few months after the Jupiter and Saturn conjunction in 1941, and he moved to New York City and began peforming folk songs in New York City at the next Jupiter and Saturn conjunction in 1961.
A Complete Unknown tells the story of Bob Dylan ascending to fame within the folk music scene during the Jupiter and Saturn conjunction in 1961, and then rising to greater fame and breaking free from the folk scene into his electric rock and roll phase in 1965 during the same month that Jupiter in Gemini formed a square aspect with Saturn in Pisces exactly like now.
What can Bob Dylan’s relationship to the Jupiter and Saturn cycle, and the movement of the Jupiter and Saturn cycle between 1961 and 1965 tell us about the immense changes, volatile collective times, and potential for new creative directions in 2025?

Like many Dylan’s music showed up in my life at a powerful time of transition and has stayed with me emerging again at different times, often powerful thresholds of change. For me his Sun is conjunct the south node of my Moon as well as my Moon,, with his Mercury near my Ascendant among numerous other connections.
Very cool indeed. I think he is very polarizing, people either get him or they don’t. I have many other connections to his chart but Sun to IC speaks very strongly. Clearly you and I have some important chart connections as well. Maybe we hung out in a different life or parallel one? I plan to view the video after I see the film.

I took Adam’s classes to get a good understanding of the basics.
I’ve studied and practiced since the early 80’s, 1981, but never had formal training.
I learned about the Thema Mundi, etc, from his classes. Valuable.
(I never knew the origin of modern rulerships versus traditional before. I’d hear astrologers, in conferences for example, speaking of Jupiter ruling Pisces, but didn’t understand. Now I do. I’ve become almost a fundamentalist now about traditional rulers, whole sign houses, etc.)
Gray, I grew up in the military. Mostly in Europe to be near my mother’s family in England. Then we retired to my father’s home in Louisiana. Went to high school and began college there before moving to San Francisco.
I learned metaphysics there, (San Francisco) divination, tarot and psychic work and astrology. Had my business career there, then moved to Humboldt County after Jerry Garcia died.

I saw the film and then viewed your video. I adopted the film and only wish it extended beyond the mid sixties. I was enthralled and often moved to tears. I will probably write about this in my blog. I enjoyed your video and how you described the various timelines for the Jupiter Saturn cycle. I really hope the conjunction in Aquarius will usher in a progressive era for humanity but this is not what is currently in play.
My processed Ascendant is in early Gem now approaching my natal IC and is on Bob’s sun. I will be starting to read a bio on him soon and plan to immerse my self in his positive energy especially now. He is imperfect as all humans are, but his creativity is relevant to these current times.
