Astrology of 2022 (Part Two)

I recently joined Melissa LaFara on her Energetic Principles Podcast to discuss the astrology for the second half of 2022, from the Cancer Solstice until the the end of the year. We previously did an episode about the astrology for all of 2022 last December (you can watch here), but there was so much to talk about during he first half of the year we had to move quickly through the second half of the year due to time. We thoroughly cover the astrology for the rest of 2022 in this episode, moving through the second half of the year month by month, lunation by lunation. I hope you enjoy it!

I am pleased to share a recent conversation I had with Melissa LaFara on her Energetic Principles Podcast you can listen to here:

I previously talked to Mel in December 2019 in a forecast episode about the entire year of 2020. Mel invited me back to discuss what we predicted in comparison to what actually happened, and then spending the rest of the time looking forward through the rest of the year knowing what we know now.

We primarily spent time discussing the period of Mars activating its retrograde phase between now and November. I hope our conversation helps give you some ideas for how to prepare for this upcoming period featuring an extreme intensification of all things Mars. The Aquarius Full Moon yesterday demarcated the beginning of things heating up, as Mars has now formed its first square with Jupiter and is on its way toward Pluto and Saturn.

I had the pleasure of recently appearing on The Basement Astrologers Podcast with Kipp Dubow, an astrologer who lives not too far from me along the Salish Sea in Tacoma, Washington.  We talked about the meaning of the planetary nodes by way of first exploring the meaning of the lunar nodes. We then talk about the significance of Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn all beginning and ending cycles together in 2020 while also forming conjunctions with their own South Nodes. A couple corrections: for some reason I misidentified my own lunar nodes when explaining how to figure out if a planet is at the northern or southern bending. My South Node is in Gemini and North Node is in Sagittarius, which is why my Mercury is at the northern bending of my lunar nodes.

At another point when talking about the opposition between Saturn in Virgo and Uranus in Pisces during the economic crisis in 2008 I accurately said that Saturn in Virgo was at the northern bending of the nodes of Uranus. I then said Uranus was near its own south node but I meant that Uranus was also near the southern bending of its own nodes.

I hope this serves as a general introduction to help get you started thinking about the planetary nodes and the significance of planets conjoining one of their own nodes as well as being at the bendings of their nodes.

I was recently interviewed by astrologer Melissa LaFara on her Energetic Principles Podcast. We talked about the ineffable topic of exploring soul in astrology, including what we mean by soul, the impact of Carl Jung and James Hillman’s work on astrology,  and ways to relate with difficult placements and challenging configurations in natal astrology through a soul perspective. All about Uranus: Podcast interview & UAC update

I have a couple of announcements involving Uranus I’m excited to share. I was recently interviewed by astrologer Christina Caudill on her Radiant Astrology Podcast about Uranus. We ended up having a long talk and it is being released in two parts. The first part released I am sharing below, and focuses primarily on the ingress of Uranus into Taurus, some of the collective threshold events in correspondence (volcanic eruptions and Gaza strip conflict), and the interplay between Uranus in Taurus with the upcoming Mars retrograde in Aquarius.  I’m not sure when the second part will be released, but in it we will also be discussing the ingress of Uranus into Taurus with special attention paid to experiencing Uranus transits on a personal level, in particular the Uranus opposition that everyone born with Uranus in Scorpio will be experiencing now. I was born with Uranus at the beginning of Scorpio, and I’ve already experienced my first major Uranus opposition event: due to the cancellation of another speaker, I was selected to give an additional talk at the upcoming United Astrology Conference. Fittingly, I will be talking about Uranus oppositions, and so not only is this appropriate due to me going through a Uranus opposition right now, but I also have to put it together at the last moment at Uranian speed!

The changeable nature of Mercury is found in its synodic cycle and its shifts between being direct and retrograde. The meaning of Mercury’s cycles will be applied to the secondary progressed chart, where Mercury’s movement across a lifetime demarcates vital periods of personal development. Gray will explain how to interpret the shift of progressed Mercury from being direct to retrograde and vice versa, and what to pay attention to in relation to the natal chart.
