Zodiacal Releasing Foundations Lecture & Applied Workshop

I’m excited to announce an upcoming lecture on the Lots of Fortune and Daimon (also known as the Lot of Spirit), along with an applied workshop on the Zodiacal Releasing timing technique in June 2026.

Both events are hosted by the Washington State Astrological Association (WSAA) and will be available to attend online via Zoom. The evening lecture on the Lots of Fortune and Daimon will also take place live in Seattle at the Puget Sound Yacht Club, where the WSAA regularly meets.

If you are interested in learning Zodiacal Releasing or deepening your understanding of the technique, I recommend attending both events. The evening lecture on the Lots of Fortune and Daimon will provide an essential foundation for understanding how to interpret and work with the timing periods revealed through Zodiacal Releasing.

Points of Destiny: The Lots of Fortune and Daimon

I will be speaking in Seattle on Thursday, June 11 about the Lots of Fortune and Daimon (aka the Lot of Spirit) for the Washington State Astrological Association. The Lots of Fortune and Daimon (aka Spirit) offer powerful insight into material prosperity, well-being, and vocation. Calculated from the zodiacal relationships among the Sun, Moon, and Ascendant, these lots cast the light of the luminaries from the lived intersection of body, soul, and spirit. The Lot of Fortune describes the material circumstances and embodied experiences of the soul, associated with the Moon. The Lot of Daimon, linked to the Sun, points to the animating, immaterial force that calls us to express our purpose in the world. We will explore how to integrate both lots into astrological practice and how the planetary rulers of each lot reveal essential keys to understanding the natal promise.

Soul Narratives of Zodiacal Releasing

Following my evening lecture, I will present an extended workshop on Zodiacal Releasing on Saturday, June 13, available exclusively online via Zoom. This will be the first time I’ve offered a public workshop devoted entirely to a step-by-step approach for integrating Zodiacal Releasing into astrological practice. While I’ve taught a full course on Zodiacal Releasing through Kepler College in recent years, this marks the first time I’ve presented it as a standalone workshop.

What is Zodiacal Releasing?

Zodiacal Releasing is a Hellenistic astrology timing technique that reveals the timing of pivotal events while offering a powerful framework for understanding your life story and the experiences that have shaped it. Unlike other timing methods, Zodiacal Releasing creates archetypal periods based on the Lot of Fortune and the Lot of Daimon (Spirit): the lunar and solar lots associated with material well-being and vocation. Beyond marking external developments, Zodiacal Releasing also times inner shifts of purpose and calling that lead to meaningful changes in life direction.

In this online workshop, you will learn the foundations of Zodiacal Releasing along with advanced techniques for integrating it into your astrological practice. We will explore the Lot of Fortune to assess periods of material prosperity and the Lot of Daimon to examine the unfolding of vocational calling as promised in the natal chart. As a time-lord technique, Zodiacal Releasing complements transits and progressions by offering a distinct relationship to time—one that frames life as a series of archetypal chapters, unfolding like seasons or episodes in a long-form narrative.
