Planets of Day Course: Sun, Jupiter, and Saturn

Planets of Day Course

I’m delighted to announce a new course I will be facilitating with my friend and colleague Jason Holley on the Day Planets: Sun, Jupiter, and Saturn.

This will be an online experiential course that has a different format than courses you may have taken with me previously, unless you have already taken part in the courses on “Night Planets” and “Twilight Planets” that I previously facilitated with Jason.

In a small group setting (no more than 14 in each section), we will explore the Sun, Jupiter, and Saturn by sharing the myths and images from the ancient and modern world, and then entering and participating in the stories directly through action methods including writing, movement, dreamwork, art-making, ritual, and astrodrama. We will also study them in the horoscopes and transits of participants through both technical delineation and facilitated imagination.

I’ve been deeply moved by the deeper understanding of the planets that has emerged through the experiential methods used in the two previous experiential astrology courses I co-facilitated with Jason, focused on the planets of night (Moon, Venus, and Mars) and twilight (Mercury, Chiron, and Ceres). Through embodied experience, the living symbolism of the planets comes alive in a way that can profoundly transform how we relate to and interpret their presence within the birth chart.

Jason and I are both excited about opening new dimensions of awareness regarding the Day planets. I particularly like this description that Jason wrote about our course: “We live in a time with a tendency to over-valorize a very narrow version of Day consciousness, one that is rigidly separated from Night realities in service of power and domination. But in this course we will understand the Day world in its natural place, embedded in its cyclical rhythm with Night. Loosening Day from patriarchal expectations lets it be experienced in a rich, alive way full of many tints and hues – color being a very Day experience!”
